The country registered this afternoon the death number 17 of a COVID-19 patient, it is a 71-year-old woman, Costa Rican, neighbor of Alajuela.
The death occurred in his home. The woman consulted the Alajuela Hospital yesterday for diarrhea and abdominal pain, the sample was taken by COVID-19, she was in stable health, so they sent her to her home.
The positive result was to be notified today, however, he died prior to receiving it.
The deceased had diabetes and high blood pressure, both risk factors for COVID-19.
This death is added to the 16 regrettable deaths already registered: seven women and nine men with an age range of 26 to 89 years.
