As of May 18, 3 new cases of COVID-19 are registered, for a total of 866 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 87 years. There are 395 women and 471 men, of whom 726 are Costa Rican and 140 foreigners.
Likewise, four new cases of transporters were registered who were not authorized to enter Costa Rica for having a positive result in the COVID-19 test, reaching a total of 50 transporters.
Positive cases are recorded in 69 cantons. By age we have: 771 adults, 43 older adults and 52 minors. There are 575 people recovered in 59 cantons, with an age range of one to 86 years, of which 280 are women and 295 are men, by age we have: 518 adults, 30 older adults and 27 minors.
At this time 13,684 people have been discarded.
There are 10 regrettable deaths, one woman and nine men with an age range of 45 to 87 years.
17 people are hospitalized, three of them are in intensive care with an age range of 64 to 76 years.
To date, a total of 20,352 samples have been processed.
