As of May 17, 10 new cases of COVID-19 are registered, for a total of 863 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 87 years. There are 393 women and 470 men, of whom 725 are Costa Rican and 138 foreigners.
Likewise, there are ten new cases of carriers that were not authorized to enter Costa Rica because they had a positive result in the COVID-19 test, reaching a total of 46 carriers.
Positive cases are recorded in 69 cantons. By age we have: 768 adults, 43 older adults and 52 minors. There are 565 people recovered in 59 cantons, with an age range of one to 86 years, of which 274 are women and 291 are men, by age we have: 509 adults, 29 older adults and 27 minors.
At this time 13,481 people have been discarded.
There are 10 regrettable deaths, one woman and nine men with an age range of 45 to 87 years.
17 people are hospitalized, three of them are in intensive care with an age range of 64 to 76 years.
Today a total of 20,115 samples have been processed.
