Beneficiaries of the Credit Extension of the National Bank

  • Corporate Banking (large companies) and Medium Business

Specifically, for clients in the Tourism and Commerce sectors, with a variable installment payment plan, they may dispense with their payment of the installments of the next 3 months and up to 9 months, so that they will be transferred to the final installment of the loan, to give financial relief to those companies.

  • Small Business and Microenterprise

All debtors in this segment (regardless of the type of loan and the sector) with a variable installment payment plan, may dispense with their payment of the installments for the next 4 months, so that they will carry over to the final loan installment. This measure is automatic, so no client management will be required.

  • People with Housing, Consumer and Vehicle credit, non-salaried and pensioners

For all non-salaried debtors, they will be able to dispense with their payment of the installments for the next 3 months, so that they will be transferred to the final installment of the loan. This measure is automatic, so no customer management is required.

  • Credit card customers, non-salaried and pensioners

For all non-salaried credit card debtors, the minimum payments of their installments for the next 3 months were automatically transferred to the monthly installments payable from the fourth month.

Below is the breakdown of customers and appropriate amounts:

People (not salaried):

  1. Housing and consumption: 7,293 operations (82,652 million colones)
  2. Cards: 47,797 operations (58,690 million colones)

Total People: 55,090 operations (141,342 million colones)

Business:

  • Corporate credit (large and medium-sized company) of Tourism and Commerce: 1,680 operations (248,557 million colones)
  • Small and micro companies: 50,535 operations (793,789 million colones)
  • Small and micro companies: 50,535 operations (793,789 million colones)

Total Companies: 52,215 operations (1,042,346 million colones)

Grand total operations (people + companies): 107,305 operations (1,183,688 million colones)

In the case of private sector employees who have presented a reduction in their income, the National Bank, in order to support it to face the situation the country is experiencing, as a result of the presence of COVID-19, has implemented a tool for self-management of the application, which will be available this week on the page www.bncr.fi.cr
