Starting this Monday, patients who were previously received at the National Rehabilitation Center (CENARE) will have proper medical attention in the new Mobile Medical Unit of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund.
In the Health Complex of the National Insurance Institute (INS), in La Uruca, patients, medical and administrative staff will be received to continue with the treatments and therapies that until a few weeks ago were offered at CENARE facilities.
The Mobile Medical Unit will allow CENARE patients to receive their occupational, language, physical and even pediatric rehabilitation therapies, allowing them to continue with their recovery processes.
To protect the health of patients and officials, entry to the facilities will be made only through entrance number three to apply the protocol for taking temperature and basic consultations. All visitors to the Trauma Hospital and Mobile Medical Unit should undergo these reviews.
For the installation of this Mobile Medical Unit, three modules were deployed, each with 52 m2, of usable space that includes 10 doctor’s offices, a satellite pharmacy and an area for child, language and occupational therapies, in addition to an area for stabilization of patients and a space for command post.
Inside the temporary shelter of the INS, physical space has been provided with its furniture and equipment
