During the first operation of sanitary vehicle restriction as part of the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, during the night of this Tuesday and early Wednesday morning, the authorities of the Ministry of Public Security together with the General Directorate of Police of Transit made a total of 274 fines.
Of this number, 159 were for violating the provision and 115 for other infractions.
“Yesterday and today we worked hard on the operation of vehicle health restriction throughout the country with success. I thank my colleagues and fellow police officers for this work, “said the Minister of Public Security, Michael Soto, while indicating the continuity of these operations throughout the national territory, so he urged citizens to stay home and not leave unless of some need.
The Minister said recalled that this measure applies during the time slot from 10 p.m. and until 5:00 a.m. and that those who transit during that range have the obligation to prove or demonstrate the corresponding exception, such verification must be given to the transit authority by presenting the institutional or business card, as well as a labor certificate issued by the employer in which the record the work schedule.
In the cases of independent workers, they must carry and present a supporting document about their work or activity that justifies their mobilization. As well as the labor certificate or the supporting document as appropriate, they will be applicable from Wednesday, March 25.
