Tonight there is a new death of a patient confirmed by COVID-19. This is an 87-year-old man, who was admitted to the Alajuela Hospital. The patient, in addition to being an older adult, had a history of vascular origin.
In this way, two deaths are counted, two men of the same age.
The Ministry of Health reiterates the risk that older adults face before COVID-19 and insists on the protection of this vulnerable group.
There are 87 cases confirmed by COVID-19, with an age range of 2 to 87 years. There are 35 women and 52 men, of whom 79 are Costa Rican and 8 foreigners.
Adjusted data records positive cases in 23 cantons (plus one unknown) from six provinces, plus: San José, Heredia, Guanacaste, Alajuela, Cartago and Limón added to the list. Puntarenas continues without cases. By age we have: 73 adults, 7 older adults and 7 minors. At this time 951 people have been discarded.
