I Concert of the Official Season of the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN) starts
Offering a sensory and emotional experience, through their interpretations, is the premise of the head of the OSN, Carl. St. Clair, as well as the 80 musicians that make up the ensemble.
This is the start of the First Official Season Concert, which will be held on Friday, February 28, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, March 1, at 10:30 a.m., at the National Theater of Costa Rica.
For this first concert, the OSN prepares a special presentation with five soloists: José Aurelio Castillo, violin; Jorge Rodríguez, oboe; Juan Carlos Meza, trumpet; Álvaro González, cello, and Winnie Camila Berg, viola, all musicians holding the ensemble and chosen to accompany the orchestra during this new season.
The cost of tickets ranges from ¢ 7,000 colones and up to ¢ 30,000 colones, depending on the location. 40% discount for seniors and students when presenting their IDs. Recipe book rescues corn-based recipes, as well as other ingredients from the Nicoya area
The traditional cuisine of Nicoya stands out for a wide variety of recipes that play an important role in the economy, being the sale of food a livelihood for many families.
That is why, in order to preserve and transmit the gastronomic heritage of the canton of Nicoya, this Saturday, February 29, at 10 am, at the Nicoya Market, located opposite the building of the Courts of Justice in Nicoya, will be presented the recipe book “Comidas tradicionales Nicoyanas”.
During the activity, the audience will be able to taste and buy a variety of dishes, such as breads, drinks, tiste, pozol, ayaco, Creole chicken with milk, chilote stew, donuts, popped cornmeal, perrerreque and much more.
For those who want a digital copy of the recipe book, the Ministry of Culture and Youth announced that on Saturday, February 29, during the afternoon it will be publishing the downloadable version for those who wish to have it.
Parque La Libertad will take workshops, exercises, board games and other activities to Los Guido de Desamparados
Implementing new ways for people to know a little more about La Libertad Park and to know what it offers, is the goal of the Los Guido Community Festival, which will take place this Saturday, February 29, starting at 9 am, in the Hall Communal and in the surrounding park, this in Sector 2 of the community of Los Guido de Desamparados.
The agenda is for people of all ages and will be a small sample of what is developed in La Libertad Park such as Zumba, functional exercises, Muay Thai, Disc Golf as well as craft workshops, organic farming and board games for older adults, without neglecting free play spaces for boys and girls.
“We invite all people to come closer, because there are going to be activities for children where they can go to create spaces free of games, fun activities that can take advantage, in addition to activities for older adults, so we encourage them to attend and take advantage of this; and if you want to ask about the Park that will approach our commission that will be throughout the activity ”, concluded the Head of Communication and Development, Vivian Pastor.
