With the aim of promoting and positioning Costa Rican choral art before the world, Estudio Choralia will participate in the 13th edition of the renowned Buenos Aires Coral World Festival.
In the framework of this festival, which will take place from 3 to 9 November this year, 29 Costa Rican singers along with the young director, Fabián Vargas, 24, will raise the banner of choral music, together with choirs representing Colombia, the Basque Country, Ecuador and Argentina.
The invitation to participate in this meeting was received in August 2018 when the group had its first international tour, to the World Choir Festival of Puebla, Mexico.
Estudio Choralia will perform Costa Rican and Latin American music in the main artistic spaces of Buenos Aires, such as the Manuel Belgrano Hall of the Senate of the Nation, the Peace Palace, and the Teatro Gran Rivadavia with the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires
Choral music is still unknown at the national level. And that is why the main objective of the group is to create and share a fresh, versatile and dynamic spectacle within the reach of all audiences.
In two years of experience- It has two international tours, the group premieres. In 2018, the work Requiem for the Living by Dan Forrest, He also shares the stage with the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica in the Christmas Season 2018. During this year, they have participated in lyrical projects such as the Cuban zarzuela María la O, under the direction of Maestro Manuel Matarrita. Recently they were the pilot choir of the International Choral Fest under the direction of Masters Tim Sharp of the United States and Dignified War of Cuba, two of the greatest exponents of choral music worldwide.
Finally, they were recently selected as representatives of the Confucius Institute of the University of Costa Rica, on their tour Shanghai and Beijing, China 2020.
