The Ministry of Health instructed that, starting today at 3:00 p.m. The negative result of the COVID-19 test will be a requirement to enter the country for carriers. Carriers must wait at the border for the result, which can take between 24 and 48 hours.

Yesterday the first positive case for Covid-19 in the canton of Talamanca was a driver who showed discomfort and fit the criteria to be examined. The tests were performed giving these positives. The driver was reportedly entered through the northern border and detained and quarantined at the southern border. The traceability of contacts is being carried out to know if he managed to infect other people during his time in Costa Rica.

The Minister of Health, Daniel Salas reported that, of the 230 samples processed yesterday by carriers, two positives were found, both entered through Tablillas, they are isolated and all the contacts they had in Costa Rica are located.
