As of October 21, the country registers 1,503 new cases of COVID-19, of which 329 are by epidemiological link and 1,174 by laboratory, for a total of 99,425 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 100 years. There are 47,811 women and 51,614 men, of which 83,140 are Costa Rican and 16,285 are foreigners.
By age we have: 84,349 adults, 6,782 older adults and 8,206 minors, 88 are under investigation.
There are 60,738 recovered people, of which 29,120 are women and 31,618 are men, by age we have: 52,092 adults, 3,420 older adults, 5,155 minors and 71 are under investigation.
531 people are hospitalized, 206 of them in intensive care with an age range of one to 91 years.
For today 14 regrettable deaths are reported: six men and eight women, with an age range of 37 to 93 years.
In total, 1,236 deaths related to COVID-19 are recorded: 473 women and 763 men, with an age range of nine to 100 years. By age there are 417 adults, 817 older adults and two minors.
