The country registered 1,206 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, December 5, 954 cases on Sunday, December 6, 576 cases on Monday, December 7, and 1009 today, Tuesday, December 8, reaching a total of 147,430 cases confirmed by COVID- 19.
Of the cases registered on Saturday, 217 were by epidemiological link and 989 by laboratory. In the case of Sunday, 80 are by link and 874 by laboratory, on Monday 69 are by epidemiological link and 507 by laboratory. For this Tuesday 248 are by epidemiological link and 761 by laboratory.
In total we have 71,888 women and 75,542 men, of which 127,064 are Costa Rican and 20,366 are foreigners.
There are 105,686 people recovered, of which 51,203 are women and 54,483 are men, by age we have: 90,207 adults, 6,230 older adults, 8,814 minors and 435 are under investigation.
619 people are hospitalized, 230 of them in intensive care with an age range of zero to 91 years.
On Saturday 20 unfortunate deaths were reported, on Sunday 17, on Monday there are 15 and today, Tuesday there are 21 deaths, reaching a total of 1,846 deaths related to COVID-19: 696 women and 1,150 men, with an age range of nine to 101 years. By age there are 591 adults, 1,253 older adults and two minors.
